72 Gremlin 4X4 with a Ford 302ci engine
Not
much to say about myself really, I’ve always loved the outdoors; hiking,
biking or driving my vehicle out in no mans land. I started my 4x4 experience
about 20 years ago when I built a 4x4 Gremlin. Well, I bought this Gremlin for
$200 and drove it for a couple of years, talking it off the road as far as as a
little car would take me. Then the engine finely had enough, no compression,
burning oil. Just plain worn out. So, I found this old 4x4 chassis and converted
my little car into a 4x4 Gremlin beast type thing. Then the off road experience
got a lot more exciting. Too bad I didn't take a lot of pictures back then, the
only picture I could dig up was this one. As you can tell, it hasn't ran in
awhile, a blown engine and no money left to put into it. Well years
gone by and that Gremlin
is long gone. So, now I'm starting over with this TJ and going all the way.
I couldn't dig up any pictures of my new Jeep. The winch and Nerf side steps were installed within the first two weeks. So I guess this picture will have to do. I ordered it with every intention of building it to where it is today, plus the mods I'm planning on completing by next summer.
