The Nerf side steps

like the way they look, but I didn’t like the way they were to be mounted to
the body instead of the frame, so I made up some brackets. I feel a lot better
about them now, I didn’t like the idea of adding new holes in the body, living
in Michigan where they salt the roads, it wouldn’t take long for those new
holes to start rusting. So, they are mounted on the frame, but within a year,
the paint started to peal off. I’m not too concerned about that though. I kind
of expected it, that’s one reason I wanted to get black ones. It’s easy to
touch them up using model car paint.
