Tires & wheels
I
wanted a somewhat of an aggressive tire, but not one that was not real loud on
the street. I found the Cooper Discover S/T 33X12.50 to be a good choice. I knew
my stock 15X7 wheels were too small for them, but I always liked the Mickey
Thompson Challenger wheels. So I looked through some tire charts and found that
I needed a 10” wheel for this larger tire, so I placed my ordered. After the
wheels arrived, I put one of them on to see how much they would stick out.
It’s just a personal thing, but I like my tires to stay in the wheel wells. I
found that even with wider fender flairs, this tire would still be sticking out
way too far for my liking, so I returned those for 8 inch ones and lowering tire
pressure to 18 psi for street driving, they are working out nicely for me.
I now need a spare tire carrier that would be able to hold my full size 33X12.50 tire was another search on the web. (This is the bumper I'm using)
I use different tires and wheels for the winter months. Check them out.
